## Process

**First step** is the **Kazoku mint**. \
Your Kazoku NFT is your very own **access key** to the whole *Kazoku ecosystem*.\

Kazoku stands for Family, in Japanese - needless to say, holding a Kazoku means you are now part of the family. \
\
The art behind your very own Profile Picture Kazoku was brought together by [Skyle](/kazoku-whitepaper/fundamentals/meet-the-family-behind-kazoku/skyle.md), our Lead Artist at Kazoku. This project was born from the very first sketch that Kyle drew, from which the team came together and idealized the concept of this sci-fi space combined with anime art style.\
